THE BANKSIDE RESIDENCY

Luke was the inaugural Artist in Residency at Bankside Hotel with Contemporary Collective.

For a few months he was based in The Maker’s Space at the hotel recording the local environment through a series of walks, street finds and paintings to produce a body of work about how we document and celebrate a sense of place and what it truly means to belong.

With its roots in the history of psychogeography, this form of urban exploration allows him to express himself through painting but also to extend the work beyond the canvas and out into his surrounding environment.
